Role overview

A customer-facing mechanical problem-solving role connected to the shop.

This is not a traditional desk-only engineering job, and it is not a traditional sales job. The right person can meet with customers, understand the mechanical problem, bring clear information back to Reynolds, and help the shop build the right solution.

Visit local customers to understand parts, machines, processes, and production issues.
Take measurements, ask good questions, and bring useful information back to the shop.
Work with CNC machinists and fabricators to think through practical ways to make the work.

Support quality, communication, and customer satisfaction along the way.

Why it is different

More time solving. Less time waiting for permission.

No unnecessary bureaucracy
No endless internal meetings
No overnight travel
Freedom to get the job done
Variety across customers and industries
Direct connection to the shop floor
